Google Reader...
So I just set up my google reader and it was a piece of cake (sorry about the food reference! Do those have to go on a diet after Christmas too?) Google Reader automatically set up feeds for me from the other 17ers that I am following, an I found it easy to add feeds from other site like Library Journal.

Twitter in the classroom
While doing some research for my masters, I came upon this article in School Library Journal...thought it was perfect for 17 Things to Chew On!

I just set up my Twitter...something I honestly thought that I would never do! I am still trying to figure out the Re-tweet function, but all in good time I guess! I am currently following Elie Wiesel, author of Night, and his foundation, as well as NCTE (National Council of Teachers of English), and GSLIS (Graduate School of Library and Information Specialists at the University of Illinois). I am still brainstorming on how I would use this in my classroom, but I know the possiblities are out there. Re-tweet on my twitter at, of course, Chewinonlit!
Google Docs!
I have used Google Docs in my masters program, and it is GREAT! I would like to use in my classroom for peer editing, but have not done that yet! Gotta get on that!

DE-licious was scrumptous!
After setting up my delicious account, I added Kellie Dean, Dan Mancoff, and Alicia Duell to my network. This can be a great resource for me in my classroom and for use with my peers. We can use this in our PLCs to share great websites, etc. I can also use this out of school to remember searches (i.e. baby bedding :) that I will need later. LOVE IT!
DE-licious!
